The hearing for the Right-of-Way Penalties bill has already been heard in
the House of Delegates. Next, it will be heard in the Senate. The hearing
date and time is March 22, 2007 at 1 PM in the Judicial Proceedings
Committee hearing room.
It is important to have as many people attend this hearing as possible. We
encourage everyone who is able to attend to be there to show support for
this bill. Many of the committee members are our friends and support our
goals. However, we need to persuade all committee members to vote for SB
863.

Directions From Washington:
Take the Beltway (I-495) to Route 50 East. Follow the signs to Annapolis.
Take the Rowe Boulevard/Annapolis exit and bear right onto Rowe Boulevard
(South)...
Directions From Baltimore:
Take the Beltway (I-695) to Route I-97 South at Beltway Exit 4. Follow the
signs to Annapolis. (Route I-97 merges with Route 50 East.) Take the Rowe
Boulevard/Annapolis exit and bear right onto Rowe Boulevard (South)....
Parking
...Go to the second light at Rowe Boulevard and Taylor Avenue and turn right
on Taylor Avenue towards the Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium. The second
driveway is the entrance to the stadium parking lot. Paid parking is
available on the stadium parking lot at a cost of $6 (subject to change) per
day.
There are other places to park in Annapolis, but the garages can fill up
fast on hearing days.

Take the stadium shuttle to the stop directly across the street from the
Post Office. Walk in front of the Post Office; pass the Senate Office
Building with an iron fence. Turn left at the corner of the Senate Office
Building and proceed to the entrance. You will need photo ID to enter.
There are metal detectors at the doors, so to expedite your entry leave
pocket knives and other items at home or in your car.
Locate the Judicial Proceedings Committee Hearing Room on the second
floor.
Also, make sure that you call or write to the members of the committee and
ask them to vote for SB 863.
